Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a scary injury that puts a huge question mark over the rest of the NBA playoffs. Bucks fans are holding their breath in the face of a worst case scenario, one that could potentially come true.

The Bucks organization is reportedly fearing a ‘severe' ACL injury as they await Antetokounmpo to undergo the proper tests, as reported by Sports Illustrated's Farbod Esnaashari:

“Sources: People within the Milwaukee Bucks organization fear that Giannis Antetokounmpo has suffered a severe ACL injury. However, no MRI has been done yet.”

The only silver lining as of now is that nothing is confirmed of yet. The Bucks were looking like the potential favorite remaining in the playoffs after handily defeating the Atlanta Hawks in Games 2 and 3.

The Greek Freak has more than lived up to his 2-time MVP status throughout these playoffs. The Bucks forward is averaging 28.2 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists on 55.1% FG shooting.

The 2020-21 NBA playoffs have been a tale of hurt stars. It started with the Los Angeles Lakers falling with an injured Anthony Davis and hobbled LeBron James. Donovan Mitchell, Kawhi Leonard, Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Trae Young, and now Giannis Antetkounmpo have succumbed to the unfortunate theme.

Here's to hoping that the Bucks star's injury isn't as feared.
