Eric Bledsoe of the Milwaukee Bucks met Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics up top with a block in Game 2 of their second-round matchup.

Bledsoe perfectly timed his jump to swat Irving layup attempt off a lob from Al Horford.

It was a great play by Bledsoe against Irving. Irving is one of the best offensive gunners in the league right now. The best thing that Bledsoe can do is to contain him. And in the possession above, he did exactly that.

Irving entered Game 2 oozing with confidence after their Game 1 win. In a postgame interview, the one-time NBA champion shared that he can get his shot anytime he wants. Per Nick Friar of Celtics Wire:

“I really don’t worry about shots. I can get my shot anytime I want. I think everybody in the building knows that.”

Bledsoe might have heard of Irving's words and inspired him to do a better job on defense. Though he has a much-heated rivalry with Terry Rozier — Irving's backup guard — it wouldn't hurt if he tries to stop the Celtics' best player.

Some analysts have picked the Celtics as the team to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. After all, they are a much more experienced team than the Bucks who, despite their stellar regular season record, have lots to prove in the playoffs.

But from the looks of it, Bledsoe and company have other ideas.
