Dwayne Wade got a chance to play one season with the Chicago Bulls, but his experience with the organization wasn't all that sweet. During an appearance on “No Chill with Gilbert Arenas”, Wade shared that fans booed him when he playing on the Bulls.

The retired guard started the conversation by saying that the energy in the United Center was electric when he was with the Miami Heat. When the Heat used to play the Bulls, it was a clash of two teams that were built to compete for a championship.

It was the trio of Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh against the gritty, tough-nosed Chicago squads that were led by Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer, and Joakim Noah. However, things were a bit different when Wade found himself playing for his hometown team later in his career.

After 13 seasons with the Heat to begin his career, where he won three NBA titles, Wade's future with Miami was in doubt. Wade, who was born in Chicago, signed with the Bulls ahead of the 2016-17 season after Miami decided not to give him the contract he desired.

In his lone season with the Bulls, Wade averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. While Wade could still contribute at a high level, Chicago was a team that barely made the playoffs in the Eastern Conference in 2016-2017.

Fans of the Bulls have lofty expectations for their team, especially when it had the talent that the roster did in 2016-2017. Provided that, Wade understands why fans in Chicago booed him and the other members of the roster that season when they couldn't deliver on those expectations.
