Chicago Bulls fans will get to see newly acquired small forward Otto Porter Jr. for the first time in a Bulls jersey rather quickly. The swingman will not only play against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, but will also be in the starting lineup.

The Bulls acquired Otto Porter Jr. from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis.

Porter will join Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, Lauri Markkanen and Robin Lopez in Chicago's starting lineup versus the Nets. The Bulls enter Friday with a putrid record of 12-42, putting them in the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Porter, 25, is averaging 12.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this season. The third overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft is shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 76.6 percent from the free-throw line.

As all Bulls fans are probably aware of, Porter is on a lucrative contract. He's making $26 million this season, owed $27 million next season, and has a player option worth $28 million for the 2020-21 campaign.

Porter is a good defender and solid perimeter shooter. It should be interesting to see how he fits with this Bulls team, who have one of the worst offenses in the NBA. Chicago is averaging only 102.1 points per game — that's 29th in the league.
