Duke Blue Devils freshman Zion Williamson is considered one of the most interesting NBA prospects we have seen in quite some time, possessing an unusual blend of size, skill and athleticism that has some comparing him to Hall of Fame power forward Charles Barkley.

Chicago Bulls big man Wendell Carter Jr., a Duke product himself, thinks Williamson is a generational talent:

“He’s a for sure No. 1 draft pick. No doubt about it,” said Carter, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. “I don’t understand how anybody can pass up his athleticism and his potential. That’s a freak of nature, a once in a generation type player. I believe he’ll be No. 1.”

Now, one thing people have questioned with Williamson is his NBA position.

At 6-foot-7 and close to 300 pounds, Williamson has the body of a tweener, but in today's game where positions have changed completely, that doesn't matter as much.

Ten years ago, Williamson would be considered too short to play center or power forward and too heavy to play small forward. However, in 2019, Williamson could be viewed as a small-ball 5 or even a point forward.

The 18-year-old has very good handles for his size and is a very good passer, kind of in the vein of an Anthony Mason-type player.

This season, Williamson is averaging 21.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks over 27.5 minutes per game while shooting 65.9 percent from the floor, 26.5 percent from 3-point range and 68.2 percent form the free-throw line.
