Two-time Slam Dunk champion Zach LaVine has appeal, there is no question about it. In fact, LaVine has been receiving interest from several shoe and apparel companies about representing their brand just as many other athletes before him. It was only a matter of time after the high-flying guard soared and electrified the crowd during All-Star weekend and put life back into the Slam Dunk contest.

According to ESPN's Nick DePaula, the former UCLA star has scored a four-year endorsement deal with Adidas in the ballpark of $35 million.

Zach LaVine has been recovering from a left ACL tear suffered last season but expects to return to the Chicago Bulls as a core member of the franchise and a future face of the Adidas brand.

The 22-year-old also spoke with ESPN  expressing his excitement about his career and future.

“I was looking for a partner that would grow with me as my career continues to unfold. Adidas convinced me that I have a chance to legitimately become a face of the brand.”

Nike held a “match clause” in its contract with Zach LaVine on any offers received from competitor brands, but after evaluating the current offer, they decided to waive the clause, releasing the Bulls guard to pursue the Adidas deal.

Not only will LaVine be sporting a brand new uniform but also shoes from Adidas. Should he return to form and continue to improve upon his 18.9 points per game from last season, the contract is structured to offer him undisclosed rewards.

“The direction the company is going in from a branding perspective has been impressive. In recent years, they've been innovative and creative with both their marketing strategies and products. The way they positioned themselves and explained to me that I'd lead their next wave of players was huge.”

Zach LaVine joins a host of NBA players in the Adidas lineup including Derrick Rose, James Harden, Andrew Wiggins, and more.
