The Chicago Bulls are suffering through injuries and general team dysfunction, but Zach LaVine is happy that Kris Dunn and Bobby Portis are back in the lineup.

Kris Dunn and Bobby Portis both returned for the first time on Monday after extensive absences. The two players, oddly enough, both dealt with sprained MCLs that derailed the first part of their seasons.

“Felt great to have them out there,” Zach LaVine said to NBC Sports Chicago. “They're some of the dogs on the team. They go out there, they cause havoc. It's good to see them.

“They're some of the better players on the team. I think they're definitely going to help.”

Now that both players are back in the lineup, the Bulls are hoping that they can start to right the ship and end the dysfunction. Portis and Dunn played limited minutes in a blowout loss to the Kings. Dunn finished with nine points and six assists while Portis ended up with nine points and eight rebounds.

They didn't look to be 100 percent healthy yet, but they are definitely a welcome addition into the lineup. As they get their legs under them and start to find a rhythm, the Bulls should begin to compete in more games.

Of course, the volatile situation within the building could continue to disrupt the team's play. On the other hand, a healthy Portis and Dunn could help spur the Bulls to a few victories. As we all know, winning cures everything. Well, maybe not everything, but it's a start.
