New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball has been the headline of several trade rumors this season. It was reported late last week that the Los Angeles Clippers were interested in the guard, but it seems like the Pels are negotiating with other teams as well. One team NOLA is reportedly in talks with is the Chicago Bulls, who have offered their own package for the pass-first guard.

According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, the Bulls offered guard Tomas Satoransky and second-round picks for Ball. However, the Pelicans insisted they prefer a good first-round pick or a young player instead. Aside from Chicago, the Pels also wanted the same condition when the Atlanta Hawks called them for Ball recently.

According to O’Connor, the Pelicans want to leverage the Bulls and Hawks’ cap space so they can make a quality offer for Ball. But it seems there’s no positive indication that Ball could be traded this season.

For what it's worth though, the 23-year-old guard would be an ideal fit alongside All-Star Zach Lavine, who has been having a remarkable season so far.

Ball could help utilize his playmaking skills and add to the Bulls’ off-ball offense as well. This season, Ball is averaging 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists. He’s also shooting a career best 38.5 from 3-point range.

To add to this, Ball is also known for his defense, which can help Chicago significantly. The Bulls are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference standings, just in position to compete for this year’s play-in tournament.

Lonzo Ball’s father, LaVar Ball, also made it clear in an interview with ESPN Los Angeles earlier in the week that he wants his son out of New Orleans. Could the Bulls be Zo's next destination?
