The coronavirus pandemic has taken a tight hold over the basketball world in the last 24 hours and it appears that former Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg might be the next prominent figure to possibly contract the virus.

During Wednesday's college basketball game between the Indiana Hoosiers and Nebraska Cornhuskers, Hoiberg, who is now the head coach at Nebraska, was seen on the bench looking visibly ill in the game's final minutes.

In the video, you can also see another Nebraska coach using hand sanitizer, likely as a precaution. Hoiberg would leave the game before the final buzzer and would be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

While it has yet to be confirmed that Hoiberg has contracted COVID-19, NBA players such as Jazz teammates' Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have tested positive for the virus. As a result, two NBA games were postponed and the league announced that the season would be suspended as they figure out their next move in regard to the virus.

As for college basketball, as of now, both men's and women's NCAA Tournaments are still scheduled to happen albeit without fans in attendance. However, that decision was made before two NBA players were diagnosed and the league suspended play so the fate of March Madness may be up in the air over the next few days.
