The Arizona Cardinals lost their third game of the season in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams, and sure enough, Kyler Murray is not happy about it.

With the Rams missing Jalen Ramsey and Tyler Higbee due to COVID-19 protocols, many expected that the Cardinals will have an easier time in the Monday Night Football showdown. However, that was far from the case as Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald led the way for the LA franchise to take the 30-23 win.

Murray, for his part, had a hard time against the Rams' defense powered by Donald. The star defensive tackle actually had 3.0 sacks in the contest, making life difficult for Murray who failed to register a passing touchdown and even had two interceptions.

After the game, the Cardinals QB expressed his disappointment with the result. Nonetheless, he is staying optimistic in front of a tougher road that awaits him and his team.

“I'm not discouraged,” Murray said, per team reporter Darren Urban. “Everything's in front of us.”

The loss is undoubtedly frustrating for a lot of reasons. For one, the Cardinals dropped to third in the standings with the loss. They are tied with the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a 10-3 record, but Aaron Rodgers and Co. took the top speed because of their record in the conference.

Another reason is that it should have been a winnable contest for the Cards by all accounts. Unfortunately, nothing went their way.

Arizona will be facing the hapless Detroit Lions (1-11-1) in Week 15, so that should be a game they can win. If Kyler Murray and the rest of the team can't bounce back, they'll be in huge trouble with both the Packers and Buccaneers hungry for the no. 1 seed.
