L.A. Clippers forward Blake Griffin weighed in on the rumors surrounding Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James.

While appearing on the Skylar Brother podcast, “View from the Cheap Seats,” Griffin said that he doesn’t think he will ever share the same city as LeBron.

Via CBS Sports:

“Honestly, I don’t see him coming to L.A. period,” Griffin said. “Listen, again, I have no idea [laughs]. I think something is brewing with him and his group of guys. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I think something’s brewing and they’re going to try to make that work.”

The group of guys is definitely the Banana Boat crew that includes Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul. There’s always been some speculation those four will try to play together some day, but nothing serious has emerged just yet.

Griffin goes on to say that he could actually see LeBron going to New York instead of L.A.

“I could see [LeBron] going to New York before L.A. I still think, when you go to the Garden, it’s a completely different feeling,” Griffin said. “The energy, there seems like there’s just a consistent buzz the entire game. … Even last year when you go play them, it’s still there.”

It will be interesting to see whatever goes down here. There used to be some thought that maybe LeBron would consider the Clippers to team up wth Paul and Griffin, but with CP3 gone that may be totally out the window now.
