Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens was all praises for Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry following an epic Game 7 encounter between these two sides. It was the Celtics who emerged with the series-clinching victory in this one, and in the process eliminated the defending champs from playoff contention.

After the game, Stevens had some high praise for Lowry:

Despite being just 43 years of age and one of the youngest head coaches in the league right now, Stevens has been around for quite some time now. He's had the opportunity to coach against some of the greatest players in NBA history, so for him to say that he considers Lowry to be one of them speaks volumes of what type competitor the Raptors All-Star point guard is.

In Game 7, Lowry did not have his best performance. The 34-year-old finished with 16 points on 5-of-15 shooting, to go with six rebounds, and four assists. It wasn't exactly a terrible performance from Lowry, but it was not enough to carry his side to a much-needed win on Friday night.

Stevens and company have now earned themselves a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals, where they will face off against an equally impressive Miami Heat side. The Heat just disposed of the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the second round in such a dominant fashion, so clearly, the Celtics will have their hands full.

This series has the makings of another memorable matchup between two emerging sides. Game 1 of the East Finals is slated for Tuesday.
