There is definitely no love lost between Hall of Famer and TNT analyst Charles Barkley and Boston Celtics superstar Kyrie Irving. The former has been a staunch critic of the latter, and Barkley has now taken another shot at Irving. Only this time, it appears to be more personal in nature:

That's not a very nice thing to say there, Charles. Then again, Barkley has never been one to mince words, and exaggerating half-truths does seem to be his specialty.

This is not the first time Barkley has attacked Irving this season. A couple of months back, Barkley hit out at Irving's apology to former teammate LeBron James about the personal issues they had during their time together with the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to Sir Charles, this was nothing more than a self-serving statement from Irving, who was taking a shot at his young Celtics teammates in the process.

Kyrie did not give Barkley the time of day, refusing to engage with the former league MVP. However, with more shots fired, it would not be surprising if Irving gives in and responds to Barkley's untoward comments here. After all, Irving does speak his mind as well, so this might actually be the start of another word war.

Then again, this will be a chance for Irving to show the world how much he has matured as an individual. The high road approach is always seen as a mark of a true professional, and this recent attack presents a great opportunity for Irving to exhibit the same.
