Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum was a man possessed to start off their marquee matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

The Celtics star poured in the team's first 14 points to start the contest, single-handedly outscoring the Lakers in that span. Check out Tatum turning into the human torch below:

Jayson Tatum's hot shooting caught the attention of his peers in Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green and Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal. Both had to give it up to the Celtics star for flexing his immense scoring prowess.

Jayson Tatum has really turned it on as of late. His season stats for the Celtics thus far have been far below his usual efficiency, shooting at 40.6% from the field and 32.2% from the three-point line.

But in three games in December, he's turned it up a notch. Tatum is averaging 31.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. He's raised his production while also upping his efficiency to 48.4% from the field, 36.0% from three, and 96.2% from the free throw line.

Based on his 21-point performance in the first half against the Lakers, those numbers could very well go up after this fourth game. The Boston Celtics are slowly climbing back up the standings and it's not coincidence they're doing so as Jayson Tatum gets his groove back.
