With trade rumors surfacing on a potential move away from the Boston Celtics for veteran big man Tristan Thompson, reports recently emerged that one of the reasons why Thompson could be on his way out is because he isn't exactly the most well-loved figure inside the Celtics locker room. Boston star Jaylen Brown caught wind of the allegations and decided to address the same on Twitter.

Brown needed just one emoji to express his stance on the matter:

Based on my clearly underwhelming knowledge of colloquialisms, the blue cap appears to represent Brown's disagreement with the statement. The term ā€œcapā€ is often used as slang for a lie or something that is untrue, so in this respect, Brown seems to be saying that the rumors about Thompson's unsavory relationship with his teammates hold no bearing.

The one thing we are sure of about Thompson is that he has now reconciled with former ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian, with whom Thompson shares a daughter with. Kardashian herself recently took to social media to send out a very sweet birthday message for Thompson, which for most, was a clear indication that the two had gotten back together. As they say, they are now Instagram official.

Whether or not the Kardashian bit has any relevance in Thompson's future in Boston remains to be seen. We're guessing it absolutely does not. Nevertheless, it definitely counts that Brown, a prominent member of the Celtics squad, has come out to the defense of the embattled Thompson.
