The Boston Celtics got a hard fought victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, 126-120. Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum outshined Kevin Durant, dropping 54 points in the win, including 34 points in the second half on the way to the win. After the game, Tatum was asked his thoughts on Coach Krzyzewski's final home game at Duke on Saturday. Tatum of course had some kind things to say.

Tatum talked about the incredible run that Coach K had, spanning 42 years recognizing all that he accomplished. Tatum mentioned how he would have liked to have attended the game Saturday. Unfortunately, the Celtics had an early tip in Boston on Sunday, making it too difficult to make it.

Tatum of course played for Coach K at Duke during the 2016-2017 season. Tatum became a star in college that season, that ultimately landed him with Boston. The traded the first overall pick to the Philadelphia 76ers (who drafted Markell Fultz) to move down to the third pick and future first round picks. The Celtics took Tatum and that trade will forever go down in history as one of the most lob sided trades ever.

It was a special evening at Cameron Indoor as dozens and dozens of former Blue Devils players attended. Sadly for Coach K and Duke, they lost the game to arch rival North Carolina.

Apparently, Tatum used the juice from the event Saturday night into Sunday as he torched the Nets. In the loss, Kevin Durant scored 37 points himself, but could not match the historic game by Tatum.
