Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker has dealt with a nagging knee injury all season long.

During Sunday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors, Walker had a scramble with Pascal Siakam, which caused him to tweak his knee a bit. However, during his post game interview with reporters on Sunday, Walker said that he's fine and that he only felt pain at that moment, but it's no big deal.

Walker, who signed with the Celtics last summer, scored his first career playoff double double with 18 points and 10 assists. The 30-year-old guard shot 6-for-11 from the field and 4-for-7 from three-point range.

Due to his nagging knee injury, he was put on minute restrictions throughout the Celtics’ eight seeding games. That same injury caused him to miss 12 games before the NBA hiatus, however, Walker has managed to play through it.

The All-Star guard has played phenomenal in the playoffs thus far, averaging 24.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists. Furthermore, Walker has shot an astonishing 49 percent from the field. His amazing performances throughout the playoffs is one of the main factors why the Celtics are currently 5-0.

“This is the reason I came to Boston, to be able to play in the playoffs and advance,” Walker said during his post game interview. “I’ve always felt like I’m a winner. I want to play at the highest level. I’m able to do that now, and it’s really exciting.”

The Celtics now have a 1-0 series lead over the Toronto Raptors. Game 2 of the series will be played on Sept. 1st.
