Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker was recently selected as a starter for the NBA All-Star Game. It'll be the fifth straight year a Celtics starting point guard is selected to the NBA All-Star Game. Isaiah Thomas was selected to the All-Star game in 2016 and 2017. Kyrie Irving was also selected to the All-Star game in 2018 and 2019.
Five straight years the Boston Celtics starting point guard makes the All-Star team, as Kemba Walker joins Kyrie Irving (2018 and 2019) and Isaiah Thomas (2016 and 2017) in that honor.

This will be Kemba Walker's fourth All-Star team selection and his second-straight as a starting guard in the Eastern Conference. Walker finished off first in both the media and player voting. Trae Young was the other guard selected as a starter for the All-Star Game.
Walker has played phenomenal in his first season with the Celtics. He's averaging an efficient 21.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 31.7 minutes. The 29-year-old is shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 39.0 percent from behind the arc.
Walker signed a four-year, $141-million maximum contract to join the Celtics last summer in a sign-and-trade for outgoing backup guard Terry Rozier III. He's been a tremendous addition to the team as a veteran presence for the young core. Walker has been a key reason the Celtics are fourth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 29-14.
We'll find out on January 30th if teammates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are selected as reserves for the All-Star Game. They've both shown massive progression since the last season with Brown having the added motivation of playing spectacularly in anticipation of a possible massive payday in the offseason as a restricted free agent.
