The Boston Celtics have been inconsistent all season, but Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant isn't giving up on them.

Bryant, who had many battles with the Celtics during his legendary playing career, believes the C's can put it all together once the playoffs start.

“And then in the East, Boston is one good run away from kind of figuring it out,” Kobe told Frank Isola of The Athletic. “And if the game is close, Kyrie (Irving) is a problem.”

Entering Wednesday, the Celtics have a record of 43-28. That's good for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Before the 2018-19 season started, the Celtics were the preseason favorite to win the East. However, the team hasn't been able to live up to the hype and there has been a lot of dysfunction with the team over the course of the season.

The Celtics are coming off a solid West Coast road trip which saw them go 3-1. And like Bryant says, if the game is close in the fourth quarter of a playoff game, Kyrie Irving can finish a game all by himself.

There's a lot of talent on the C's roster.

One would guess that bodes well for Boston once the postseason starts.
