Recently-retired Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce is currently in China, apparently looking for Brandon Jennings. But instead of his old Twitter foe, “The Truth” ran into another NBA personality he supposedly has beef with: former Celtics teammate Ray Allen.

But as the picture Pierce posted on Instagram with Allen shows, it appears as if Pierce is ready to start putting an end to whatever rift he and his old Celtics teammates have with their former ally.

For those in need of a refresher, Allen had a falling out with his 2008 championship-winning Celtics teammates when he left to sign with their biggest rivals, the Miami Heat, in 2012. In May this year, Allen was notably absent in that 2008 team’s mini-reunion on Kevin Garnett’s “Area 21” show on TNT.

During that get-together, though, Pierce said that they needed to “bury the hatchet” with their former teammate. And it seems that with this meeting with Allen, Pierce is backing up his talk and extending the olive branch to his old mate.

Now that Pierce has taken the lead, it might not be long until Allen and his former Celtics teammates finally settle their long-standing differences. If that is indeed the case, it’ll be just in time for them to reunite and celebrate the upcoming 10-year anniversary of their 2008 championship together.
