In a special edition of Kevin Garnett‘s “Area 21” on TNT on Monday, members of the 2008 championship Boston Celtics team appeared on the show to talk about a variety of things with their former teammates. One player that was notably missing was Ray Allen, who has had a strained relationship with his former teammates ever since he left Boston to sign with the Miami Heat in 2012.

Directly addressing Allen's absence, Garnett, Paul Pierce, Kendrick Perkins, Glen ‘Big Baby' Davis, and Rajon Rondo talked about their former sharp shooting teammate and said they had no problems with him.

The 2008 Celtics seem like they want to bring Allen back into their fold as during an Instagram live video from set, Pierce says they need to settle things and bury the hatchet.

“We need to settle this,” Pierce said.

The funny thing is that if the Celtics wanted to settle things with Allen, they likely would've reached out before. But you never know, perhaps talking about their relationship with Allen on national television will force them to extend an olive branch to their former teammate.
