Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving is raring to go in the upcoming 2018-19 NBA regular season.  Uncle Drew joined the Celtics in a 5-on-5 full-court game on Tuesday and did Uncle Drew things, including hitting a walk-off game-winning shot, which was captured on video by Jay King of The Athletic.

After getting a defensive rebound, Irving brought the ball down the floor and was met by a defender in an isolation setup. Irving called for Al Horford to give him a screen before burying a three-pointer right in the face of big man Aron Baynes.

Irving missed the tail end of the last regular season and the entirety of the Celtics’ subsequent inspired run in the playoffs after going under the knife in April to remove a couple of screws in his knee which were embedded in his patella in a prior surgery done to repair a knee injury he suffered in the 2015 NBA Finals.

In his first season in Celtics threads, Kyrie Irving paced the team with 24.4 points and 5.1 assists to go with 3.8 rebounds across 60 games.

The five-time NBA All-Star is on pace to be ready just in time for the opening of the next season.

Irving, who was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to Boston last year in exchange for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, and a pair of draft picks, can opt not to pick up his player option next summer to become an unrestricted free agent.

The Celtics will start their campaign on Oct. 16 against the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden.
