Free agent cornerback Chris Harris has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.

Calvin Watkins noted that the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, and Las Vegas Raiders also had interest in Harris but that “things have changed.”

Harris spent the first nine years of his NFL career with the Denver Broncos and is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played every game and registered 56 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and six passes defended.

The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Kansas, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Broncos in 2011.

He appeared in every contest during his rookie year, finishing with 71 tackles, a pick, a fumble recovery, and six passes defended.

It didn't take long for Harris to establish himself as one of the league's best cover corners, as he made the Pro Bowl as soon as his fourth season and went on to earn three straight Pro Bowl appearances between 2014 and 2016, also notching First-Team All-Pro honors in that last year courtesy of totaling 63 tackles, a couple of interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and 11 passes defended.

Of course, the highlight of Harris' career came in 2015, when he was a pivotal part of a dominant Denver defense that won a Super Bowl championship.

The Bixby, Ok. native proceeded to make his fourth Pro Bowl appearance in 2018.

On top of being consistently productive, Harris has also been very durable throughout his NFL tenure, having missed just five games due to injury.
