Shannon Sharpe seems to be very pleased with what the Los Angeles Chargers have been able to accomplish thus far this season, and that has him believing that they're the best team in the NFL.

The Chargers are coming off one of their best wins of the season in scoring a 29-28 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday, which helped Anthony Lynn's team stay in the hunt for home-field advantage in the AFC.

It also helped Los Angeles snap a nine-game losing streak to Kansas City while also giving Philip Rivers and company plenty of confidence entering the final two games of the regular season.

And Sharpe is someone that thinks that this incredible stretch from the Chargers is enough to land them at the top of the NFL rankings.

He does make a good point about the Los Angeles Rams sliding after two straight losses, but many people may still argue that the New Orleans Saints are a slight step ahead.

However, you could easily make the case that the Chargers are the best team in the league right now, and they've been able to keep things going in recent weeks even without star running back Melvin Gordon on the field.

Los Angeles will now prepare for a Week 16 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night, with the Chargers finishing up the regular season on Dec. 30 against the Denver Broncos.
