The Kansas City Chiefs have lifted running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Denver Broncos. Edwards-Helaire has missed the Chiefs' last two practice sessions on Thursday and Friday, as the second year running back has been battling an illness. Ian Rapoport shares the details via Twitter:

While Edwards-Helaire is listed as questionable, there is good reason to believe that he suits up for the Chiefs on Sunday, as he was able to make it to the team's walk-through on Saturday. However, the severity of Edwards-Helaire's sickness is unknown, and this may impact his game against the Broncos, or alternatively, he may be put on some form of minutes restriction during the game. Of course, there's the very real possibility that the Chiefs' coaching staff gives Edwards-Helaire the full all clear, with no minutes restriction—surely a tantalizing prospect for the Broncos faithful.

The young running back has been doing decently for himself this season, as he has logged in 367 rush yards on 77 rushing attempts, and 4.7 yards per attempt heading into the Chiefs' matchup against the Broncos. The Chiefs meanwhile, have had their own fair share of success this season, as they currently hold a 7-4 record, and sit on top of the AFC West.

The Chiefs are entering the game with some missing faces, as right tackle Lucas Niang and cornerback Rashad Fenton are both listed as out for the game, due to a ribs injury (Niang), and a knee injury (Fenton). Whether or not Clyde Edwards-Helaire will make a significant impact against the Broncos is unknown, and Kansas City fans can only hope that the illness isn't lingering.
