Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson put together a humorous response to the Thursday gaffe by ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith.
The outspoken co-host of First Take went all-in on his analysis ahead of the Chiefs' matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, but he seemed to forget to fact check his research before going on air.
That led to Smith spouting off a comedy of errors, which included references to the San Diego Chargers and the intriguing matchup between Johnson and tight end Hunter Henry.
The problem, of course, is that Henry tore his ACL before the season while Johnson is no longer on the Chiefs' roster.
So, the four-time Pro Bowl linebacker thought he'd have a little fun with the situation on Twitter:

Johnson's response is about as good as it gets, especially considering how baffling Smith's analysis was earlier in the day. But hey, if this was 2017, there's no doubt that Johnson/Henry matchup would be one worth watching.
As for this year's version, this is going to be a huge game for both teams as they look to keep fighting for home-field advantage in playoffs.
The battle may be a little tougher for the Chargers now that their top two running backs – Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler – have both officially been ruled inactive for the game.
Then again, Johnson and Henry are both inactive as well, but Smith's insight suggests that these two may take the field and prepare for one of the best matchups of the evening.
