The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions and they finally received their hardware on Tuesday. In a hype video posted on the team's official Twitter account, the Chiefs show off their Super Bowl LIV championship rings.

What seems like forever ago, the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl back in February. En route to the Super Bowl and even on the grandest stage, Kansas City faced a deficit in each postseason game they played in.

To begin their journey in the playoffs, the Chiefs were down 24-0 early in the AFC Divisional Round versus the Houston Texans. Despite the slow start against the Texans, Kansas City would outscore Houston 51-7 the rest of the game.

Then, in the AFC Championship Game, the Chiefs faced a 10-point deficit versus the Tennessee Titans. Nonetheless, Kansas City won the game by a score of 35-24, giving them a spot in the Super Bowl.

Lastly, in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs looked out of sorts offensively for a large portion of the contest, being down 20-10 in the second half. Similar to the other games, Patrick Mahomes and the offense wouldn't be contained for long and they scored 21 unanswered points to down the 49ers.

And as Brian McGill of The Wall Streat Journal points out, the Chiefs' Super Bowl rings sports each deficit they faced in the postseason.

The remarkable Super Bowl LIV victory this past season marks the first Super Bowl win for the Chiefs since the 1969 season. While the team prepares to defend their throne as the reigning champions, they'll have some time to flaunt their new rings.
