The Kansas City Chiefs went on the road to defeat the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12 while the defending Super Bowl champions wasted absolutely no time jumping out to an early lead on Sunday afternoon. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wide receiver Tyreek Hill couldn't have been better in the first quarter as the prolific tandem could do no wrong against the Buccaneers.

Scoring a whopping 17 points in the first quarter against the Buccaneers, Mahomes continually found Hill way down field as the speedy pass catcher tallied an unthinkable seven receptions for 203 yards and two touchdowns in the opening frame. As a result of their early and sustained success, Mahomes had a hilarious reaction to Hill's career outing against the Buccaneers while taking to social media after his team's latest win.

With the Chiefs ultimately winning the contest by the score of 27-24, it was not nearly as close as such a score would suggest thanks to a late surge from the Buccaneers. Hill would go on to finish the memorable matchup with 13 receptions for 269 yards and three touchdowns. Mahomes registered 462 passing yards, 28 rushing yards, three passing touchdowns and a total of 37 completions on 49 attempts.

Now at 10-1 on the season while already avenging the team's only loss on the season, which came at the hands of the rival Las Vegas Raiders, the Chiefs are less than one full game behind the top-seeded Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC standings. The 10-0 Steelers have yet to play in Week 12, but are currently slated to take on the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday evening.
