It’s no secret that Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is a fan of the NFL and regularly watches games. So, when Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes made a game-winning touchdown pass to tight end Travis Kelce to give the Chiefs a pulsating 35-31 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, it was no surprise when James chimed in.

James gave credit to Mahomes and the defending champions:

Mahomes, who finished the game by completing 34-of-45 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns against one interception, thanked the four-time champion right back:

Aside from interacting with a fellow champion in James, the 25-year-old reigning Super Bowl MVP later tweeted that the team was headed home with an important victory in the bag:

The game, which saw Kansas City and Las Vegas exchange touchdowns in the thrilling final minutes, was the Chiefs’ fifth straight win of the season and ninth overall against just one loss. It also gave the Chiefs a measure of revenge, as they were able to get back at the only team to defeat them so far this season. This happened in Week 5, when the Raiders went into Arrowhead Stadium and came away with a stunning 40-32 victory.

Mahomes and the Chiefs head home and will now prepare for a much-anticipated clash against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12.

James, meanwhile, will be back at training camp soon as the Lakers try to win back-to-back titles after adding the likes of Dennis Schroder, Wesley Matthews, Montrezl Harrell, and Marc Gasol this offseason.
