Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is only 25, but he's already broke a record that not even the great Tom Brady has.

Mahomes' rookie card has sold for a ridiculous $4.3 million at The National Sports Collectors Convention outside of Chicago on Wednesday, becoming the most expensive NFL card ever, per ESPN. Not only that, but it's the fourth-highest amount for a sports card in history.

After all, it's not really a surprise. The Chiefs star already has a Super Bowl and an MVP under his belt and he's only in his mid-20s. His card value will likely skyrocket as he continues to grow his legacy in the NFL.

Mahomes fully took on the starting duties in 2018 after Alex Smith was traded, throwing for an impressive 50 touchdowns in 16 games. Since then, he's solidified himself as one of the best QBs in the game. Through just four seasons, Mahomes has already racked up more than 14,000 yards for the Chiefs.

To many, Mahomes is seen as the heir to Tom Brady. The things he's doing at a young age are very similar to TB12 and it almost seems like a foregone conclusion that the Chiefs star will be winning more rings in the very near future. In the process, people will be cashing in on his NFL cards.
