The Kansas City Chiefs survive a scare when after barely beating a fiery Detroit Lions. One of the players that helped them get the victory was Bashaud Breeland's 100-yard touchdown off a fumble recovery.

It was a bizarre touchdown that had plenty of Lions fans booing Breeland and the referees. However, thankful Chiefs fans are just happy that he got the TD over the end zone.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was also amused and happy with the way the TD played out. He had something to say to fans who were crying foul over the controversial play.

The game itself was a wild spectacle that saw spills and thrills happen for both competing teams.

The Chiefs failed to capitalize on chances as the attack didn't have its usual edge. Patrick Mahomes was limited to 315 passing yards. More importantly, he wasn't able to convert a passing touchdown. Thankfully, LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams were able to turn in touchdowns to help the team.

Meanwhile, the Lions lost valiantly in a spectacular showing. While the final score is something the Lions are used to, something changed.

Detroit Free Press' Shawn Windsor had hopeful words ahead for the Lions:

What unfolded at Ford Field Sunday may have looked familiar, and ended in a familiar way, yet the Lions are building something here. This was easy to see for several hours Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs saw their defensive deficiencies exposed. They will want to shore that up before they play their next opponents.
