Patrick Mahomes is wasting no time in getting off to the races on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. The former MVP scored the first touchdown of the game for the Kansas City Chiefs during the first quarter, and his celebration was able to reach the fans in the stadium–literally.

After sprinting towards the outside of backfield, Mahomes was able to shake off a few defenders while finding his way into the end zone. As a result, he ended up delivering a fan-style touchdown by launching the football into the stands.

The Chiefs were predicted to make short work of the Browns on Sunday, but Cleveland still could hold a potential upset card in their hands if they can increase their momentum.

Kansas City finished their regular season by capping off a four-game win streak against the Houston Texans. Given their astounding record, the Chiefs simply awaited the winner of the Wild Card matchup between the Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers to determine their next opponent.

Given the remaining opponents in the playoffs, the Chiefs have made a strong case as favorites to repeat for another Super Bowl championship. Mahomes has made sure of that so far given his spectacular play throughout the start of the game.

The Chiefs, if they win against the Browns, would host the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game next Sunday, Jan. 24. The game starts at 6:40 p.m. Eastern time and would be the final stop on the road to Super Bowl LV in Tampa on Feb. 7.

The Chiefs are trying to win consecutive AFC championships for the first time in franchise history. The Chiefs made the Super Bowl in the 1966, 1969, and 2019 NFL seasons. They are trying to ride their high-powered offense to a third consecutive AFC Championship Game appearance, having lost to the Patriots in the 2018 season before beating the Titans in the 2019 edition of the game.
