The Los Angeles Clippers are set to face the defending champion Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs, but a lot of people are already talking about their plans for this summer's free agency. The team has enough cap space to sign two players to max contracts and they are expected to go after the top-tier free agents.
One player who has been rumored to be on the Clippers' radar is Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard. The former Finals MVP is set to become a free agent this summer and there is a strong belief around the league that he wants to be in Los Angeles. The Lakers are also expected to go after him, but a lot of people, including Fox Sports 1 analyst Chris Broussard, believe that he will end up with the Clippers.

The Raptors are the second-best team in the Eastern Conference and they are one of the teams capable of dethroning the Warriors. A championship win might convince Leonard to stay, but if Toronto falls short, there's a big chance that he will be out of there.
The Clippers are on the rise, and a superstar or two could definitely turn the franchise's fortunes around. They are already a good team and with the right pieces, fans could see them contending for a title next year.
They will have plenty of competition. The Lakers, New York Knicks, and Brooklyn Nets will also get in the frenzy, but the ultimate decision will heavily rely on which team has the most upside.
The Clippers definitely have the advantage in that aspect.
