Many believed that the Los Angeles Clippers would be one of the teams out in the loaded Western Conference that would not make the playoffs. But after winning seven of their last 10 games, they're headed in the right direction.

Although the Clippers blew a huge lead against the dysfunctional Washington Wizards on Tuesday night, they're still one of the better performing teams in the NBA. With an 11-5 record, Washington is currently fourth in the West.

But while other teams are relying on the greatness of one or multiple All-Stars to win games, the Clippers are relying on their depth to win games. The Clippers' bench is scoring a league-leading 56.1 points per game, a few points shy of their starters' production (61.8 PPG). Head coach Doc Rivers is happy with what he has seen from his team so far, according to James Herbert of CBS Sports.

“That's so refreshing about watching this team play,” said Rivers. “And guys thus far, they buy into it. They like it. Every night, there seems to be a different guy stepping forward for us. And that's who we want to be and we have to be accepting of that.”

Clippers forward Mike Scott said the team has been playing unselfish basketball.

“Everyone is close. We're not me, me, me. This is an unselfish team on both ends.”

Following their three-game East Coast trip resulting in two wins and a loss, the Clippers will play four of their next six games on the road against Western Conference teams.

They will be back in action Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
