During his days with the Los Angeles Clippers, Blake Griffin used to fly through the air like Michael Jordan did with the Chicago Bulls. The former No. 1 overall pick, with the help of Jamal Crawford, DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul, formed “Lob City” in Los Angeles and it was one of the most best shows in the NBA.

Crawford and Griffin connected on a bunch of alley-oops on the Clippers, but none was better than the play when Crawford threw it between his legs and Griffin caught it, did a windmill and threw it down against the Milwaukee Bucks at Staples Center.

Crawford gave fans some insight into the dunk on Twitter on Monday:

Despite being such an electric team to watch, the “Lob City” Clippers never put it all together once the playoffs started. The Clippers always got in their own way in the postseason.

As a result, during the Griffin-Paul-Jordan era, the Clippers never advanced past the second round.

The “Lob City” era ended when the Clippers traded Paul to the Houston Rockets in 2017. L.A. followed that up by trading Griffin to the Detroit Pistons in January of 2018.

Jordan was the last All-Star to leave the Clippers. He signed with the Dallas Mavericks in the summer of 2018, while Crawford joined the Minnesota Timberwolves in the offseason of 2017.

The current version of the Clippers are legit title contenders. They are led by stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, with Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, Marcus Morris and Montrezl Harrell serving as solid role players.
