Los Angeles Clippers forward JaMychal Green suffered a tailbone contusion after a hard fall in Sunday's duel against Washington Wizards.

Per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, Green did not return to the game.

Below is the clip of the incident. Green mustered his strength to shoot the free throws but left the game soon after.

For the season, Green is averaging 7.9 points and 7.1 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per game. The five-year pro has been part of the Clippers' reliable second unit, sharing the floor with Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell.

Green's main task has been to hold down the fort before the starters return, and he has been effective in his role through his scoring and ability to crash the boards.

The undrafted Alabama-product is playing his first full season with the Clippers. To recall, he was included in a trade package for Avery Bradley in February 2019. It only took him a while to integrate himself into Doc Rivers' system as he is now considered as a key piece.

As such, expect the organization to monitor his injury closely. He's not the team's best player, but he's certainly one of the most important. It would be interesting to see how the Clippers will adjust without Green in the next few games.
