Los Angeles Clippers veteran wing Maurice Harkless could not help but take a dig at the Golden State Warriors after his side secured a convincing 141-122 victory against the Dubs on Thursday night. The 6-foot-9 forward took a shot at Golden State's new home arena, the Chase Center, noting that in his mind, it pales in comparison to the great Oracle Arena.

“This is not Oracle,” Clippers forward Maurice Harkless told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “At Oracle, it’s loud from the jump. Those fans brought it. It’s not the same here. Maybe it’s because how we played, but it’s not the same feel.”

We're barely a week in on the new season, and already, we've got shots fired courtesy of Harkless. The 26-year-old was certainly putting salt in the wounds of the Warriors fans here, as he was obviously criticizing the home crowd's lack of support for their team — especially compared to the fans that packed the Oracle Arena.

Well, this is still the same team we're talking about here, and while the Chase Center is indeed quite a distance from the old stadium located in Oakland, it would probably be safe to say that the better majority of the fans are still the same ones that attended Warriors games in the Oracle Arena.

The fact that the Clippers held a significant advantage for pretty much the entire ballgame likely had a significant impact on the mood inside the building. Warriors fans understand that their team is in store for a challenging season ahead, but the bitter reality of having to witness it first hand definitely did not help boost their enthusiasm on the evening.
