For NBA players, the grind rarely stops in the offseason. Numerous players often ply their trade at the Drew League – and invitation-only event in Los Angeles. This year, players such as Trae Young and John Collins were invited and Drew League legend Franklin Sessions (Frank Nitty) also showed out. However, one of the most striking performances of the entire tournament occurred on Saturday, when the LA Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell produced a dazzling stat line in his game:

Harrell played with Nitty on his team, a combination that worked to his benefit as Trezz piled up some ridiculous stats and highlights – including bombing away from downtown to the tune of four three-pointers made:

The final line? 46 points on 17 of 23 shooting, 8 of 10 from the free throw line and 4 of 5 from deep, with 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block and 1 steal. Not a bad day’s work!

Harrell certainly has plenty of reason to be working hard to improve his game this offseason, as the Clippers have been completely remade since last season what with reigning Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard joining the team along with third-place MVP finisher Paul George.

Harrell has long been an underrated and gifted big man, and his seemingly newfound three-point stroke could spell doom for opposing NBA defense, especially considering Harrell’s lack of three-point shooting in his career so far.

Trezz played a career-high 82 games and 2158 minutes last season, which also led to him shooting a career-high total of three-pointers… with 17, only hitting 3 of them.

In one Drew League game, Harrell bested that number, so the Clips must hope that wasn’t just a fluke and three-point shooting is in his (and the team’s) future.
