Los Angeles Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell has departed from the Orlando bubble for an emergency family matter, per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

Harrell plans to return to the NBA restart at a later date.

The Clippers have the second-best record in the Western Conference standings. The team will play eight seeding games starting on July 31, just like the other 21 teams down in Orlando.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, Harrell was averaging 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the Clippers in 63 games. The energetic forward was also shooting 58.0 percent from the field and 65.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Harrell becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. Multiple reports have stated that LAC has every intention of re-signing him since he's one of the best bench players in the NBA and has a tremendous rapport with shooting guard Lou Williams.

Since entering the NBA, Harrell has compiled averages of 12.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 318 regular-season games with the Houston Rockets and Clippers.

The Clippers will face the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder in the seeding games. Most NBA pundits believe the Clippers and Lakers will meet in the 2020 Western Conference Finals.
