The L.A. Clippers have been mired in a nine-game long struggle, failing to pick up a win in over two weeks after a strong and somewhat deceiving 4-0 start to the regular season. Since, the Clippers have dealt with a series of injuries, losing import point guard Milos Teodosic, and starters Patrick Beverley and Danilo Gallinari — forcing head coach Doc Rivers to some makeshift changes to keep the boat afloat.

A loss to the New York Knicks on Monday put them at nine straight defeats, drawing the ire of Beverley, who made his return from injury in a 107-85 beatdown at the hands of the Eastern Conference up-and-comer.

“This … feels like 100 losses,” Beverley said, according to Broderick Turner of The Los Angeles Times. “Straight up. This… is weak. This ain’t how I roll. That ain’t OK and I won’t allow it to be OK as long as I’m here. That’s a fact.”

Beverley has now been part of an 11th loss in his last 12 games with the team — a vast difference from his experience playing for a Western Conference contender like the Houston Rockets.

Having had a team meeting to address their recent struggles, the defensive hound noted that despite being “pissed off” with his team's struggles, another meeting wasn't warranted.

“Hell no,” Beverley said. “We just got to play harder. That’s it. We just got to play harder. You get rid of the mistakes by playing hard. We’re not playing hard; the first unit, not the whole team. I challenged the first unit to play harder.”
