The Los Angeles Clippers have played their season sans their biggest weapon in Kawhi Leonard. The Klaw continues to nurse the ACL tear that he suffered during their last postseason run.

While fans definitely want to know how Kawhi Leonard is doing in his recovery, don't ask Tyronn Lue. The Clippers head coach admitted that he's doing his best not to pay too much attention.

Ty Lue says Kawhi Leonard “is doing good” when asked how his progress is. He says he hasn’t been watching Leonard work out too much because he doesn’t “want to get too excited.”

That's welcome news for Clippers fans, who continue to hear positive news on the progress of Kawhi Leonard. Just last week, team exec Jerry West also spoke out on what he's seeing from their recovering star.

Via The Tim Kawakami Show on The Athletic:

“I’m not a doctor and certainly don’t know what the ongoing problems for not being in tip top shape, ready to play a much quicker and more agile game. But just watching him, my goodness. If you watch him walk around, you would never know that he had that operation.”

That's definitely welcome news considering the recent injury luck for Paul George, who is out several weeks with a knee injury of his own.

All Clippers fans want in the new year is a healthy roster. Here's to hoping it comes sooner than expected.
