The L.A. Clippers have long been rumored to make possible trades to move DeAndre Jordan and Lou Williams. After dealing Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons last week, the belief grew even more as the franchise could be headed to rebuild mode. However, the two are still part of the team and no trades have materialized yet ahead of Thursday's deadline.

Now, it has been reported that the 6-foot-11 center may remain a Clipper beyond this week and that there's “a little more on the board” for Williams. That apparently is the case, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski via ClutchPoints' own Alex Vejar.

Jordan is one of the best centers in the league today. His efficiency near the basket, coupled with his rebounding and shot blocking prowess makes him an intriguing prospect for teams around the league, especially for a contender as he can anchor the defense and give them an intimidating force inside the paint. The biggest roadblock though is that his current team may be asking a lot in exchange for his services and that he could be a free agent by the summer, making him a big risk for whoever acquires him as he has the option to sign elsewhere.

Williams, on the other hand, is enjoying a resurgence in his career and is having one of his best seasons as a pro. That said, he was included in a lot of talks about possibly being an All-Star this season, and may have only narrowly missed being named one. His ability to score and become a spark off the bench is a very valuable commodity in today's game, and it won't be surprising if some teams emerge as favorites to land him in the coming days.

The situation of the Clippers and the two aforementioned players is definitely something worth keeping an eye on, and it will be interesting to see how things pan out for them. Their next destination is still up in the air, but one thing that's certain is that the trade rumors involving them will continue to swirl until the last hour of the window on Thursday.
