L.A. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan leads the franchise with 717 games played in a Clippers uniform. It's a source of pride for the center, and he wants to keep that streak going.

But Jordan may not get that chance. Jordan and the Clippers, despite many conversions, are quite far away from a contract extension, per Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

He would love to keep extending his record, but Jordan is unsure how long that will be possible. He and the Clippers are not close to a contract extension, and Jordan has been mentioned in trade rumors as the Feb. 8 deadline approaches.

Jordan has made it clear more than once that he wants to be a Clipper for life. He almost left the franchise once, but was convinced by his teammates to stay on. It's unclear whether Jordan would actually be willing to choose the Clippers a second time, but all indications from him so far are that he will.

But Jordan is very aware that the trade deadline is approaching, and is also aware that his name has been mentioned in trade rumors for several years. At this point in his career, it seems as though he's accepted that part of it, per Turner.

“Whatever they decide to do, they decide to do,” Jordan said. “I can't control that. I can only play basketball and that's what I do. My love for the game will be wherever. For me, the most important thing is being wanted and appreciated where you are. And wherever that is, I'm going to be happy. And if it's here, that's amazing. If not, then it's a business sometimes.”

It will be interesting to see where Jordan is on Feb. 9.
