ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski offers new information about Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan's trade status. Jordan is the biggest name in trade rumors as of right now, and apparently, teams are not pulling the trigger on Jordan just yet.

Per Wojnarowski on SportsCenter:

“The market is slow for DeAndre Jordan. He is very much available in Los Angeles, they've talked with multiple teams about him. The sense that you're getting from teams around the league on DeAndre is, they want to see who else becomes available between now and the trade deadline. Teams do not see Jordan as a player who is going to put them over the top, to overtake the favorites in the East. Teams do not want to use their assets on Jordan now, and all of a sudden a more desirable player becomes available between now and the trade deadline. So, their conversations likely will go down to the wire February 8th with Jordan.

Wojnarowski had previously commented that by the looks of it right now, this could be a quiet trade deadline. Jordan as the biggest name in trade conversations shows how dry the market is right now. During this time period in years past, we would usually hear some bigger names mentioned in the rumor mill. Most big-name player deals might not end up happening, but the media knew the conversations about them occurred.

This is the same reason teams are waiting before trading for Jordan, as Wojnarowski explains. There are two possible outcomes from now until the deadline: one, bigger names become available in the trade market and Jordan's value goes down; two, the market remains as dry as is and the Clippers can get picky with the asking price given there are no better candidates to acquire via trade. How this storyline unfolds will likely be one of the most interesting topics after this year's trade deadline.
