Ole Miss will take on Alabama in what is one of the biggest games in all of college football this Saturday. It's time to continue our College Football odds series and make an Ole Miss-Alabama prediction and pick.

Both Alabama (4-0) and Ole Miss (3-0) come into play on Saturday undefeated. Ole Miss is coming off of a bye week, one that was likely scheduled before their matchup with the Crimson Tide in an effort to add additional preparation. Alabama stomped Southern Miss 63-14 last week in a tune up outing ahead of this week's ranked showdown. Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral has vaulted to the top of the list among favorites for the Heisman Trophy along with Alabama signal caller Bryce Young. Alabama's defense faces their second big test of the season following their 31-29 road win over the Florida Gators in Week 3.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Ole Miss-Alabama odds for Saturday's matchup.

College Football Odds: Ole Miss-Alabama Odds

Alabama  -14 (-115)

Why Ole Miss Could Cover The Spread

Ole Miss has one of the most high-powered offenses in the country so far this season, which is nothing surprising for a Lane Kiffin team. Heisman Trophy candidate Matt Corral is also drawing first-round buzz for the 2022 NFL Draft. He is the type of talent that can give Alabama's defense fits, particularly when going up-tempo. Nick Saban has struggled with up-tempo offenses over the years at Alabama and Kiffin (former Alabama offensive coordinator) knows Saban's schemes well as he's been in the SEC for the better part of his coaching career.

Ole Miss is averaging north of 52 points per game so far this season. Outscoring them by two scores (and them some to fully cover) is a difficult ask, even for the No. 1 team in the country.

Why Alabama Could Cover The Spread

Do you need a reason why Nick Saban can cover vs. a former assistant? The legendary head coach is 23-0 vs. his former employees, and boasts what most people consider the best roster top-to-bottom in college football again this season. Despite losing several guys to the NFL after last season's National Championship win, the Crimson Tide have seemingly reloaded and will look to further validate their No. 1 ranking on Saturday. They have an edge in nearly, if not every position group over Ole Miss, and they probably have an advantage on the sidelines as well with Saban. Alabama is always a good bet on their home field, and with a 3:30 kickoff the crowd is sure to be rocking from the jump.

Final Ole Miss-Alabama Prediction & Pick

Alabama was a two-touchdown favorite over Florida two weeks ago, and just squeaked out a 31-29 win, albeit on the road. Take Ole Miss and the 14 points this Saturday, as outscoring Ole Miss' high-powered offense by two scores will be no easy task. If the Rebels could get out to an early lead, they should be able to hold on and hang within 14 even if/when the Crimson Tide turn on the jets.
