Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl quarterback Andrew Luck took another major step forward in his recovery by participating in the throwing drills in team offseason workouts. This has further put him on pace to make his return for the 2018 season after what has been more than a year in his rehab from shoulder surgery.

There is even more positive news regarding Luck's recovery with team owner Jim Irsay stating on Monday afternoon that the 28-year-old won't have any physical limitations when training camp opens up later this month, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The Colts have remained quite patient with the entire process that finally appears to be paying dividends with Luck finally making true progress in his rehab. There have been many trying times during this entire situation that had led to him being shut down for the 2017 season after he began experiencing pain in his shoulder that put the possibility of additional surgery into the question.

Luck appears to be well beyond that at this point now that he no longer has physical limitations heading into training camp. This should allow him to work out the kinks and the rust from not being able to throw a football in well over a year. The Colts will likely continue to take the precautionary approach with the situation given how important he is to the team's long-term future and success on the field.

The front office has made several notable moves this offseason through the draft and free agency to help build a more stable roster around him to help the franchise get back into the playoff picture in the 2018 campaign. More importantly, these next several weeks will be telling if Luck will be able to resume his NFL career in what has been a long and grueling recovery process.
