The Dallas Cowboys — like most people that visit New Orleans for a weekend — didn't leave the Big Easy as winners. Not on the scoreboard, or the injury report. Left tackle Tyron Smith suffered a high ankle sprain, safety Kavon Frazier is on the injured reserve as a result of a pectoral injury and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence played sparingly in the second half due to a shoulder injury.

Luckily, there's good news: Lawrence's injury isn't considered serious. Following the 12-10 loss, coach Jason Garrett told the media that the injury “was not deemed to be serious.” On Monday, Chief operating officer Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan that he tweaked his shoulder (not the surgically repaired one) “but hopefully that's not going to be an issue” moving forward.

It's unknown if Lawrence will miss any time for the injury. Dallas can't afford any more injuries to their stout defensive line, as both Tyrone Crawford (hip) and Antwaun Woods (knee) are currently out. However, there is a chance both Crawford and Woods will return for Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers; if each is able to practice.

The Cowboys signed Lawrence to a five-year $105 million extension in the offseason. He hasn't disappointed. Though dealing with double teams nearly every time he rushes the passer, he's tallied 2.5 sacks, six quarterback hits and two tackles for loss to start the season.

If Lawrence is unable to play on Sunday, Robert Quinn will be the Cowboys' primary pass-rusher. Dorance Armstrong and Joe Jackson would likely see an uptick in snaps too.
