President Trump's announcement both he and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19 late Thursday night caused waves and drew reactions from around the country. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was among those to react to the news on Friday, wishing the President well during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan:

“I want to express my sensitivity and concern for the President,” Jones said, via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. “Knowing him, he's the hardest worker you've ever seen. Knowing him, he'll be able to go right on through this and hopefully not miss a beat.”

Trump said he and the First Lady will officially enter quarantine.

A number of other high-ranking officials have since tested positive, including Ronna Romney McDaniel, Chair of the Republican National Convention. Former Vice President and Democratic nominee Joe Biden was tested Friday and is awaiting results.

Jones and a number of other NFL owners have a long-standing relationship with the President. He donated $1 million to Trump's inaugural committee in 2017.

The outspoken Cowboys owner has also tried to toe the line with respect to kneeling during the national anthem.

Jones previously demanded players stand for the anthem, but conversations with the likes of defensive tackle Dontari Poe have apparently changed his mind on the matter, at least in some capacity:

“That’s the great thing about America: Everybody has a difference,” Jones said in September, via Jori Epstein of USA TODAY. “If our players are there, they are sensitive to and respect what America is as it relates to the flag. I’ll assure you that. I’d hope that our fans—and I think they will—understand that our players have issues that they need help on. They need help from the majority of America.

In any case, Jones is wishing the President and First Lady well as they enter quarantine and hope for a speedy recovery.
