The NFC East made NFL history by becoming the first division to have all four teams win the Vince Lombardi Trophy after the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. However, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones could not be more unhappy with the fact that his team's rivals made the trip.

It was a disappointing 2017 NFL season for the Cowboys, to say the least. According to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, it was capped by the fact that the Eagles won the Super Bowl:

“The muffled voice you have been hearing his me screaming in my pillow over not being here and seeing Philadelphia,” Jones said.

Despite his frustration, Jones says the franchise is not looking to make any drastic changes.

“The intent was to do as much as we could from within,” Jones said. “We wanted to have a lot of change, but keep the consistency with the coordinators. We are finishing up like we designed it from my perspective.”

Dallas made a few coaching changes at the end of the year on special teams and various position groups. However, it seems head coach Jason Garrett is in no danger of losing his job at the moment, despite all the criticism he received this season.

That said, the Cowboys still have some looming player personnel decisions to make as well n the near future. Regardless, it is clear that Jones will be enduring plenty of more sleepless nights until his Cowboys can get back to the top of the NFC East.
