Not many people in Brooklyn were thrilled to find out their franchise leading scorer, Brook Lopez, was on his way to Los Angeles, and in return, they were getting yet another point guard in D'Angelo Russell.

The crowd showed its displeasure with a sea of boos upon Russell's first appearance at the Barclays Center, showing up to see the BIG3 League debut on Sunday, according to Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post.

The Nets now have a conflict at the point guard position with Jeremy Lin as the starter. It is likely they shift Russell to the shooting guard position at 6-foot-5, giving him more leeway to be the scoring threat on the court without the team-leading duties.

Even if the Ohio State point guard didn't have the warmest of welcomes in his soon-to-be home venue, he'll have plenty of time to change the fans' minds over a long regular season.
